In June 2016 we had a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection and were delighted with the overall results which was a Good overall.
The inspection was extremely vigorous involving interviewing the manager, care staff and visiting clients in their own homes to observe the support they were being given. The inspector also looked into policies and procedures along with both client and care staff files. In addition CQC had sent questionnaires to those using the service to gain their views on the care they received and everyone they spoke to during the inspection told them how caring the staff were.
They asked a quality monitoring officer from West Sussex contract team for their views and they told them “I have found them open and responsive. They will always contact me for support and advice, which I feel is reassuring, knowing they are pro-active and willing to get it right.”
Feedback from the clients was very positive:
“They are well trained, they know what they are doing I don’t have to tell them and that makes me feel safe”
