We recruit only the best nurses and carers and we regularly update their training and skills also providing specialist training.
Recruitment procedure
All staff taken on by the agency undertake a rigorous compliance check to ensure compliance with the Commission for Social Care and Inspection (CSCI) this includes:

Face to Face interview.
- Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check
- Checks against the Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) and Protection of Vulnerable Children (POCA) registers.
- Two references, one of which must be the last or current employer.
- Verification of identity
- Full working history.
- NMC Pin Check (Nurses)
- Documentary evidence of all qualifications and training
Training
All staff undertake a 3 day induction programme prior to commencing work. For Care staff we provide a skills for care learner portfolio.
Training will include:

First Aid
- Moving and handling
- Infection Control
- Health and Safety
- Fire Safety
- Food Hygiene
- Adult and Child Protection
We also provide specialist training in areas such as:

Parkinson’s Disease
- Diabetes
- Dementia
- Acquired Brain Injury
- Learning Disabilities
- NVQ in health and social care
Ongoing
To ensure the standard of our agency workers remains consistently high, we undertake supervision and appraisals at regular intervals and, in addition we ask our service users to provide feedback for staff who work with them. Each worker has an individual, annual training plan and undertakes regular annual health screening checks to ensure they are physically fit to work.

Quality of Service Programme
We have a quality of service programme which has the following objectives:

To allow service users and their families to have their say in how well the Agency is doing in the provision of its services, and the achievement of its aims and objectives.
- To identify areas of excellence within the Agency, through to identifying areas where improvements can be made;
- To allow those who contribute to the achievement of excellence to be suitably identified, and praised;
- To facilitate the production of an Improvement Plan/Development Plan for the Agency which identifies the steps which need to be taken to improve those aspects of the service which are under-performing, together with identifying those who are to be responsible, with timeframes etc and to update this Plan on a regular basis.
